Stallings was handed a 90-day suspension after he was found guilty of violating the circuits strict anti-doping policy. Having known that he had done the wrong thing, Stalling, a three-time Tour winner, decided that it was best for him to turn himself in.

Speaking to golf channel regarding the recent events, Stalling stated that, “regardless of whether I took it knowingly or not, I took something that the PGA Tour had banned. The best way to actually look at it is by simply stating that I called a penalty on myself.” He went on further and added that the Tour officials were actually surprised by his action. “The Tour officials were really surprised by the fact that I did it so quickly,” Stalling said.

Following the revelation, the Tour went on and announced the number of days that Stalling won’t be allowed to take to the field as he was banned as well as the violation he made in a statement that was issued out mid this week.
